Jami Lapinson

Hi Family & Friends! First, I would like to say THANK YOU! to everyone who has given me so much support and feedback on my blog! I appreciate it a lot! You guys/ladies are this blog, I built this blog to celebrate the positive events that happen in my life and yours so I am always open for any feedback!

Like I said, this blog is for you guys/girls to laugh, to push you guys to be the best you guys can be and most importantly, live your own life! So I have decided that every now and then, I will have a Let Me Live Feature! You will get to see what other people our age are doing and how they are using their own ways to live their life to the fullest!

This month I will be featuring a student from Fashion Institute of Technology but, also my friend,

Jami Lapinson!

When she is not exploring the city that never sleeps, she likes to shop, blog and style her friends!

In May, Jami graduated with an associates in Accessories Design from Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT)!! *cue the clapping hands emoji* She is now going to start her Bachelors in Fabric Styling at FIT . When I asked why she chose FIT over the other schools, she firmly states that she "loved the concept of a fashion school that wasn't just fashion".

Let Me Live. is about living your life and embracing the freedom of it, what are some things or thing you do to live your life?

I believe that no one should feel that others are holding them back. When I decide on doing something, I like to hear the opinions of family and friends. But ultimately, the decision is mine and no one can make choices for me.

Jami also states that two years ago, many people kept telling her that moving to New York City (NYC) would be very difficult and that it would be hard for her to adjust but she knows for a fact that it is one of her BEST decisions she has ever made!

Since you live in New York, where is the go-to spot that readers should visit?

One of Jami's favorite go-to spots would be at the High Line. The High Line is an old train rail that is above ground and it has been converted into a park. She also adds that "when you are up [on the High Line] it doesn't feel like you are in the city. It is amazing being surrounded by people from all over the world...People are sunbathing, chatting or just enjoying the view or weather!" She is amazed at the concept of how one small park is able to bring so many people from all over the world to hang out!

TOMMY: I have personally been to the High Line and it is really amazing how NYC created this attraction! If you look at it in a business perspective, they are smart because the High Line is FREE but it helps the businesses that surrounds the High Line. One business that I personally recommend is Artichoke Basille's Pizza, it is on 1oth Ave., a few blocks down from the High Line. The Artichoke Pizza is AMAZING! If you don't want a pie, they also sell slices also! Ok, back to Jami!

Since we are on the topic of pizza, that is her favorite food! But her go-to places to get a slice are Pizza Supremo, which is near her school dorm, and Famous Ben's Pizza on Spring Street, which is located in SOHO.

What is the item you want to do the most on your bucket list?

Jami states that bungee jumping or skydiving is no where on her bucket list but she wants to get a tattoo. As a person who fears needles and even the thought of the pain, she admits that she really needs to get over her fears first before getting the tattoo.

Lastly, what does Let Me Live. mean to you?

Let Me Live. means to not let anyone stop you from living your life. If you want a second slice of cake, you eat that second piece of cake and maybe go for a third. You want to dye your hair a crazy color, go for it and don’t let anyone stop you from living your own life the way you want.

If you reached the bottom of this feature, THANK YOU!

Remember when I said Jami blogs? Well, she also wrote an article about ME! AYYYY! Show her blog some love and read all her fashion articles!!! Here's the link to her article: styledstudent.com

Jami, Thank You for being my first Let Me Live. Feature!!
